2nd Alpha demo released

Just wanted to stop in real quick and let everybody know that a second more formal demo has been released of the billing system. That demo can be found here: http://soapware-demovideos.s3.amazonaws.com/project7.htm

The billing system remains in Alpha as we work on polishing and preparing it for beta. As mentioned before though we wont put it into beta until we get the 2010 pre release and the 2010 release out of the door. As soon as that time comes we will be sure to let everybody know.

Is there a time frame for the release? My partners and I are waiting for the release of the billing before we begin the arduous migration from Misys.

I hope soapware is working on reports. It would be good to generate reports as to what different insurances are paying and stratify them per code. Easily run payer mix reports, accounts receivable per 30 days intervals, pending patient and insurance claims and claims not filed. A nice feature would be to have the ability to automatically refile claims not paid in 30 or 60 days.

There will be a number of reports with the first release of the product. To name a few:

Fee Schedule Report
Payment Summary
Production by Procedure
Daily Receivable Summary
Statements
Outstanding Insurance

As we move forward these reports will grow based on customer demand.

Joseph,

At the moment we are hoping for a late June release. As we get closer to that date you should start seeing a flood of information coming from SOAPware.

I know you were hoping for a "late June release" for billing. Do you have a new estimate? Also, where could I find a site that is currently using the ASP model, one that would be willing to talk with me about their experience?

Thanks.

The official release should be within the next two weeks. We have a number of sites that are now using the release candidate and sending claims to insurance. In about a week or so you should start seeing marketing type blasts going out talking about the product.

For sites that are using the ASP model, it's probably best to contact the sales department and talk to them about what you need. They will be able to give you reference sites and much more information about SHS.
